healing alchemy pricing issues

meadowknotweed sells for 30 gold coins and heals for 5 (value is 10 gold coins in manual)
healing plant sells for 6 gold coins and heals for 10
healing herb sells for 12 gold coins and heals for 20
healing root sells for 18 gold coins and heals for 30

this is the "problem"
you can buy healing potions that heal for 50 points for 25 gold coins!
for making one essence of healing potion you would need to spend 12 gold coins worth of healing plants and meadow knotweed worth of 30 gold coins and 3 gold coins lab flask total 45 gold coins for 50 points of healing. I suppose meadow knotweed has wrong value in game since it`s value in manual is 10 gold coins (king`s sorrels price in manual is 10 gold coins other values except meadow knotweeds seem to be correct). if it`s value would be same as in manual the actual cost would be 18 cold coins for making one essence of healing potion.

It is more profitable to sell all healing herbs and plants and meadow knotweeds to get more healing power. Also you should sell all food except raw and fried meat and buy back healing potions.

fenres :

healing plants, roots etc... you find on the ground, means=FREE all you need an empty bottle(3gp). If you want to buy those ingeridians, well...

the idea of the cheese, ham, beer, wine... there are points at the game when you will need to give people some of those in exchange for learning stuff from them.

I know that those plants you pick up are free:). My point is making healing potions through alchemy costs more that selling ingredients to shop and buying healing potions back. so with alchemy you lose money rather than acquire it. You need one meadow knotweed to make healing potion and their price is bugged imho.

about hams etc. I know that you need these at some quests. but you can collect more of these than you need. point here is you shouldn`t use cheese digger meat or dark mushrooms(after you have eaten 50 of these) to heal yourself. you should sell these to merchants and buy healing potions since this way you can save some cash.

Well, I haven't tried that, so now I will.
But
I still think that there is enough money in this game so i can buy the potions and keep the good food.
every Seeker has atleast 30-50gp on him.

fenres, i had noticed that, but never thought to post it :/

The only stuff I save related to alchemy are the ingredients needed for perm potions and to repair the eye.

@Pikkon:
Oh, come on, you keep the food for the sake of roleplaying and not for sale (at least not all of it). I mean, how would you like having only healing potions for food with you, isn't that getting boring at some point?
And the alchemy, well, in the real world many times it is also more expensive creating something yourself than buying a finished product, so they are right about the pricing. And by creating the potions, you can end up with more potions than you could buy in the game (not that you ever need them though).

It would be right if you would buy ingredients from shop and made potions of these but it is not the problem. Merchants pay higher price for ingredients (meadow knotweed) compared to complete pruduct (any healing potion). if meadow knotweeds value would be 10 gold coins like in my manual compared to 100 gold coins in game then you would make 7-8 gold coins profit per healing potion(means every meadow knotweed you find would have extra value of 7-8 gold coins).

Does anyone know if german version has same values for herbs? Is this corrected in next patch?
