I say Argentina because 1) it is an American team; 2) the players are more conditioned than the Brazilians; and 3) Gabriel Batistuta.  Do I need to say more?
I think the Germans do not stand a chance because they will be distracted by Gothic 2.  |

Hah! Gothic II won't be out before the 4th quarter, so the Germans won't be distracted by it yet.
They still don't stand a chance though. I agree wholeheartedly. If the whole team consisted of Jankers and Asamoahs, then perhaps...

Well Argentina is the favorite team this world cup.  And I want them to win because they play in the same group as England, (some african land, donīt remember wich) and Sweden.

That African team is Nigeria. The second best African team in the tournment.

I think that Sweden may have a chance to beat England. Not such a big chance to beat Nigeria and no chance at all to beat Argentina.

Not England (sadly).
Argentina and France must be favorites though I wouldn't bet against another Ialy v Brazil final if the draw allows for it. |

Argentina looks capable of winning it. Compare them to England. Argentina leaves out players like Saviola and Riquelme. England are having problems coping with losing Gary Neville.....(yes, I think he's bad  )
Argentina though will have to (probably) meet Denmark after the group games. So watch out for that. The Danes are lethal (wonder were Im from?)
And please!!!!! No Italy in the final. That's the most boring team. So many talented players and all they think about are killing the game and walk away with a 1-0 result. |

Is this a football/soccer match? Really, I have no idea who is going to win, but I did see a few funny adds in London.
There was guy sitting alone in a bar, waving a German flag while the TV was on... the announcer said "Germany has just won the World Cup!". Then another announcer, with a British accent (twang) said "The only way to stop this was to play FIFI 2002". Then there was the add about the digital TV that records programming for you automatically, so you don't have to break both arms to watch the game.

Well, no shame in you not knowing about it since you're Canadian. No offense.
You guys doesnt seem too crazy about football (soccer).
In Europe, South America & Asia almost everybody is excited about this tournament. It's played every 4 year and is probably the greatest event on earth.
Personally I'm considering bailing on my cousins wedding since Denmark is going to play Uruguay next Saturday. Call me crazy but it's that important |
