This may have been asked before, apologies if so. Has anyone had problems getting BG2 to run on XP? I can run the game fine in windowed mode, but in fullscreen mode it shows only 1/4 of the screen and becomes entirely black and white. Yes, I have the latest video card drivers/DirectX (ASUS GeForce4). |

I also had no problems running it on XP.

When I got XP I had the problem that no NPCs would talk to me, but this patch fixed it. |

I have installed BG2 on my "new" PC as I hadn't played it for about a year and it would be like playing a new game as I had probably forgotten most of it.
However, when I leave the promenade and go to the slums district, within about 2 minutes, my computer resets totally.
I too have the latest drivers etc and Im pretty sure I am up to date with the game version.
I will try the patch mentioned above for curing NPC talking quoted by ROACH

Make sure your graphics driver is from the Asus site and not from the Nvidia site. |
