The chef wants some things for a recipe. I think it was 3 meatbugs and 5 hell mushrooms (I can't check until I get home). Well I found some meatbugs but I cannot figure out how to kill them. I can swing my sword/axe back and forth at waist height or over-head and stop at waist height. How do I attack something as small as a meatbug? Thanks. |

Well, normally, you should just attack the meatbug as you would anything else. Try it.
If it doesn't go, unequip your weapon and try punching it. |

I've already tried it many times. They're too low to the ground. I'll be right behind one swinging and swinging my sword and hit nothing but air. A slash seems to work at waist height only. An overhead strike stops at waist height. There must be somehing else you're supposed to do to attack something small crawling low to the ground. |

Try punching it. I did it yesterday as I started a new game and it worked fine. |

Use a bow, or a pick axe. Short swords are hard sometimes on those little buggers.

When lockpicking you kneel automatically. In order to punch meatbugs, wouldn't I have to kneel down? I don't know how to kneel/crawl. Thanks. |

You only need to kneel down to take a crap and then throw it at Gomez. Just be sure to run away fast, he has a real big sword.
Just use a pick-axe, they are readily available and will work without any problems.

Punching and trampling didn't work perhaps because it was too close to the wall so I couldn't reach it. The pickaxe worked fine. Thanks. |
