Favourite RPGs, as nominated by YOU!

* if you vote for a game that is part of a series, but you feel for whatever reason that your vote only applies to some/one game (and not the whole series) please tell us about your reservations in your post. If you're clear about your choices, I can edit this post and represent views that can't be expressed in the poll. If "game x series" gets the most votes, but 90% of the people who voted for it only liked the first game in the series, then I should make this clear so that the poll does not become misleading

Similarly, if you pick "other" please let us know what game you had in mind, and I will add it to this post.

------------------

OK... hopefully this selection is representative of the people here, being made from your own nominations. A few titles had to be dropped to get the list to a manageable size; I may edit this post later to let people know which games had to be sacrificed, but for now... let the voting begin!

Honestly, isn't this getting old?

But I'll vote anyway...

Well, the point was to make a poll that truly represents everyone's views (as much as is possible within the restrictions of the poll system), rather than offering a limited choice devised by one person... as far as I know, this hasn't been done already, so I would say "no" to your question; others have been here a lot longer than me though, so I'm well aware I may be wrong about this. Regardless, quite a lot of people made nominations, so for me to simply not bother putting the poll up... well, that wouldn't be very nice, would it?

I’m more interested by age category. Majority of the posters here is teenagers and really early twenties, so how about to create a poll only for one category.

For example:
1. 15 years or younger
2. 16 to 22
3. 23 to 30
4. 31 to 40
5. 40 and up

Lets see now how the voting goes, let’s say for category #4 . (Of course assuming everybody has to be honest, and that is already a challenge)

This poll is really far more complex than several previous.
I voted for Wizardry, but I played only Wizardry 8, which is my favourite RPG.

Planescape Torment, because it is a bit better than Fallout, Wizardry, Gothic and Jagged Alliance.

Gothic, because it made me feel at home.

Yeah. What he said.

Also numbers 3 through 5! Worlds of Xeen was the reason I snapped up M&M6 (after a long lapse in the series) as soon as I saw it ... I had no idea what an epic I was embarking on when I bought it. It was the best surprise I can recall having from a PC game ... except maybe Anvil of Dawn, which I picked up for about $5 in a bargin bin and had NO expectation of like a quality game.

Ultima Underworld serie followed very close by the Might & Magic serie (yes despite MM9).
But all the nominated games except one or two are very good CRPG's in my opinion

Gothic. If I didn't play it, I would probably never have gotten into rpgs, (I'm a bit of a newbie to them )
