You are 100% right. I worked on in Clone Studios ("Sea of Destiny TC mod"for Morrowind).

The guys there and me had a pretty good script for the current mod they are bulding and pletty of idea but right from the start, the weapons couldn't be rotatated because of the engine

I had lots of of things to do in real life though so I had to leave but from the looks of it now, the project would not work even if morrowind engine worked at least 30% of what they need.

I should have suggested to switch to stalker engine....

My point exactly. I've work on different mini-dev-projects myself, and limitations is a devs' worst fear, so if either engine supports your "vision", go for it mate.
