Weird error, prevents me from playing GII |
|
This is just...RIDICULOUS...been playing Gothic II almost all day now...so i just quitted for awhile and now i went back to it...i wanted to start the game, but all of the sudden the virtual memory system thing keeps on loading and loading, while normally it just skips and loads gothic..and after a long while i get this DAMN ERROR!!!!!!!!
in the error box :
Error-Message
C:Maxium texture size is lower than 32. possible reasons:wrong gfx driver setup {install other driver} , bad os state{try to reboot}, or insufficient gfx hardware {buy better gfx card!} _________________ All for respect, all for the bread

Delete [GOTHIC2]\VDFS.DMP and start it again.
If it doesn't help, open the Gothic.ini please and tell us the values of zTexMaxSize and texDetailIndex.
.nico
ps: please close all other programs (esp. the messenger, some versions are known to disable the HW grafic acceleration) |

At video settings
zTexMaxSize=16384
; ... size of texture in pixels, default is 16384 (max)
At the internal settings
texDetailIndex=1
And deleting that file and closing MSN didn't help anything..this is so ridiculous..i never had any problem , played all day and now all of the sudden this error...this is crazy.
Hmmm, well it works now again...i've install more new/recent drivers and at the same time i uninstalled gothic2,deleted the dir {saved the savegames of course} and reinstalled it...works now. _________________ All for respect, all for the bread

What driver version did you use before, and what version now?
Thanks in advance, Nico |

I used 30.82
using now
44.03
but i don't think it was the driver...because i worked with these drivers for already 2 weeks without probs...i think the uninstall/delete dir/re-install did the trick....i heard more about this errror i had from another person on a different forum. _________________ All for respect, all for the bread
