after I defeated the minecralwer queen, I got an option to buy heavy armor from baal neemed the guy next ot lester, but at the same time angar offered me to be a templar ,so I got the light templar armor for the orcs cemetery

Being a swamp mage is not worth it until you can find the swamp witch and get the special scrolls. Finding her is chapter specific, but if you use the search here you will prolly find her easily

In the Brotherhood, you can't be only a mage. You're right you can learn 4th circle, so you can be a strong warrior, and a good mage too. I only misse the wawe of ice, when i was a templar. But i was a strong fighter too.  |

Yes. And you can do it without marvin. Don't become a templar after you defeat the minecrawler queen. Instead give the eggs to Colm and then get the almanac, if you haven't already, and give that to him as well. After the invocation and chapter 3 starts, you can buy heavy novice armor from the guru at the swampcamp enterance.

Good stuff Kovacs. It sounds like it is possible from what a gleaned from the other posts, it is just a matter of patience and resisting the temptation to jump right into templar school.

PS. I found the swamp witch once through a secret portal that opened near the glowing pedestal in the swamp. The portal opened for only a brief period. She tought me some cool circle 5 and 6 swamp spells like insect swarm, intense rot, undergrowth entanglement and a few others, they were pretty cool for a change from the standard fire/ice/lightning/death spells.
