To Rendelius: My system is identical to yours apart from my CPU, that's a AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz. Oh, and I run Win 98SE instead of XP.

My question: did you ever run the 3dMark 2001 SE benchmark before/after you overclocked your vidcard?
If so, could you please tell me your score(s)?
For reference, I got a score of 5450. Nothing overclocked, btw.

I'm curious how much higher your score will be since you have overclocked your videocard.
I have never oc'd anything in my life but might be willing to give it a try if the performace in MW gets a serious boost from it.

(edited a typo)

Thank You!

Excellent Tips. The game was almost unplayable until I tried these steps. Now, It runs smoothly. Who would have thought that you should up the resolution and other things to make the game run better. I'm running with a Geforce2 GTS and the game is running great now.

W2K Problems

Is anyone else having trouble with Morrowind running on Windows 2000 pro?

Specs:

Intel P4 1300MHZ
261200 KB RAM
Windows 2000 Professional Sevice Pack 2 (5.00.2195)
NVIDIA GForce 2 Ultra 64MB DDR (Driver 5.4.5.0)

This machine is well over minimum req. I blue screen every time I try to leave the ships hold after speaking to the guard at the beginning of the game. I've tried everything from screen size, resolution, turning off pixel shading...you name it. If it is just a driver problem let me know where to get new drivers. NVIDIA's site is no help whatsoever. I've seen this exact problem on other forums. ie elderscrolls.com before it crashed...HELP!!!! Must play Morrowind!!!

Thank you Rend!

Rendelius , Thank you for improving my game performance a TON!

I'm playing on a P3 933, 512 RAM, ATI RADEON 32MB DDR, WME

I had been playing on 800x600, with my desktop set the same. Took your advice , bumped my resolutions up, turned AA off and away I go. I was having fun before , it FREAKIN ROCKS now!

This game is too cool. I just found a hidden tomb and fought my first Ancestor Ghost and a Skeleton!

Good luck and may your adventures bring you much prosperity!

Get this no cd crack NOW!!! I just installed it and went from a laggy 12 fps at the river in Balmora to a VERY playable 30 fps in the same spot.

Thanks!

ETC do a google search for a review of your particular card - reviews will generally give a general idea of what is safe to oc the card to.

However all cards are different the one before and the one after yours on the production line will behave differently than yours.

However in general those numbers sound extremely conservative. However i haven't used your card before.

I'm having good results. One thing (I'm still a novice at most things): What is antialiasing and how do I change it/turn it off?

AA removes the "stairs" in lines by altering adjactent pixels. Normally, it isn't turned on - if you haven't turned it on yourself.
