Corvus Corax Band in G3

There was a music band in the original (G1) gothic game - 'Inextremo' which was disabled in the international versions, but the data was there and could be enabled by any player.

Kairo of Piranha Bytes has confirmed recently that there will definitely be a band in G3 "Corvus Corax" the derivative name for the Raven (or Crow). They originally were a group of German wandering minstrels, street performers, they are a medievil band with a very distinctive style and fanatical following.

Heres a 'Myspace' link to get an idea of the sound http://www.myspace.com/spielleute
(listen to Skudrinka with the volume turned up!)

Heres the home webpage http://www.corvuscorax.de/ - with a few download video samples.

Personally, i can sense the type of sound that might end up in the game, the orcish drumbeat (big frame drum) - the medievil bagpipes (various) - String-drum, cymbals, tam-tam, timpani etc' - all sound great to me, i suspect they will be a perfect rendition to the game, i can't wait!

Corvus Corax probably is my favorite med pop music outfit, along with Qntal/Estampie, Subway to Sally and Schandmaul. They did, among other things, inspire In Extremo (who went on tour with them at least once I think), but are the vastly superior artists (IMO).

Yes, now I will use Chinese to say it again:

很不错的音乐啊!
现在真的很想听风笛的演奏呢...
