Ok....how can I make it so all my flasks aren't used to make one lousy potion? I had 26 flasks and then they get used in one shot.

That would be a very strange bug . I can only guess what happened. The potion section of the inventory has an auto-sort function. It may be that your stack of potions has been moved from where you usually had them. Check all potion stacks and move them around. I bet you'll find your stack of potions sooner or later .

Yep....checked...the flasks are all gone in one shot. Now if only I could figure out how to kill troll kings without dying.....hrmm.....

That's easy. Just find a decent frost weapon and the whole game is a piece of cake.... .

This does seem to be a bug. The same thing just happened to me.

I had 7 empty flasks and I clicked on some red mushrooms to try and make my very first potion and - whoosh - all 7 disappeared making 1 potion.

I reloaded and had several more attempts - but with exactly the same result every time. I spent a bit of time trying to see if holding down a certain key would split the jar stack beforehand, but with no luck.

Then I tried some nearby herbs instead. This time it worked perfectly and left 6 jars. I could then even go back to the original mushrooms and get 1 potion with only one jar used - so long as I used another patch of something first.

So it's definitely a bug. But from the lack of other posts here it's presumably one that just occurs occasionally. I guess it's best to save just before mixing each time though...

You can also try the patch. It may help.

Thanks for the patch suggestion, but I already have it installed.
I installed it before I began the game.

It seems to be an intermittent bug, as it just happened to me again. I was down a pit with barrels of poison. When I attempted to fill them, the same thing happened - all 4 empty jars vanished when I filled the first one.

The same solution worked again too. I.e. I reloaded and tried filling from another barrel first. Then it all went OK.
