What's this 'Firebow' good for anyway?

I found a flaming bow called "Firebow" on top of one of Dexter's towers, and 20 arrows that go with it. However in trying to shoot an Orc with it I did absolutely zero damage and he beat me senseless. What use does this bow have? Should I keep it or not?

Well it does magic damage (not fire, although it's a fire bow), so you can use it against creatures that have a high resistance against normal arrows.

perhaps his skills with the bow were low so arrows didn't hit anything

it's what Sem said: it does magic dmg to creatures that have high resistance against arrows, like trolls, zombies, undead creatures....
i don't know how many arrows for this bow are available though cause i haven't had the chance to play NOTR, thanks to all the publishers...

I'm not sure where you are hailing from Morning.LemoN, but it looks like you speak english well - why not try the English Translation Mod for Night of the Raven? That's how I'm doing it right now.

@Everyone: So this bow isn't really that special after all, huh? I mean, all of the monsters you described that would have a weakness for it I usually beat in melee combat anyway. Oh well... at least it looks cool. Now to go find Uriziel again.... then I'll have a flaming bow AND a flaming sword. Whooohoooo!!
