Happened to me too ... I gave him twice a bit but not enough ... then it didn't appear anymore in his "convo"box but it was still in my log.

I just sold him some stuff but that didn't help ... next chapter or so it was out of my "unsuccesfull" log and into my "succesfull" log (or whatever the name is).
Don't think the quest is worth worrying about.

You will need to give him enough to satisfy his needs the first time, only then will the quest be completed. This is another one of those annoying bugs in there since 1.28.

I went back to give him the meat and he was not there, so I went upstairs through a couple of doors to his bedroom and he was INVISIBLE! The white lettering said engor over the bed so I knew I was in the correct room.

Is anyone collecting these minor bugs or quirks anywhere?

Another similar bug:
I had the letters "oric" over his bed as I approached it to open a chest but he was not there. When I had finished picking the lock to leave his body was asleep on the bed.

nothing to do with the meat bug though.

That quest is indeed bugged. Sometimes the quest text option won't trigger, and you'll find that all your raw meat has magically transformed to 1 piece of fried meat :( I had to reload from a previous savegame and try again (twice), before the quest finally triggered.
