This Newbie has a stupid Question

I just started the game, talked to a few people in the OC and then headed to the New camp. Now I don't seem to have the strength to fight or the skill to go on in the NC and can't fight back to OC. Should I keep searching the new camp for help, or just start over and stay in OC longer and do things there first? I don't want to waste time on a lost cause.

Exploration is the key to this game, so be sure to do all the jobs you can get, plus a little ad-lib exploration. Just don't touch winches unless you have to for a quest.

Itīs easier if you solve all newbie quests in the OC first. Then let two certain NPCs guide you to the other camps.

You could also try stealling stuff in the OC. In the begining it helps to search all the digger huts, in some of them you can find quite valuable things.

Yeah, it can give you a lot searching the diggers chests. If they get angry, just knock them down.

The smartest move is to go to Thorus and ask him why he doesnt give ya the test then he'll ask ya to get rid of Mardrag ... Let mordrag lead ya to the New camp but first complete as many quests in the Old camp as possible ... then when ya arrive in the New camp go to the free mine ... the road on the left side of the dwellingcave will take ya there ... then go see Swiney and tell him ya wanna become a scraper then ya'll get hes diggers armor for free !!!

Newbie Help

Thanks for all the help. I ended up starting over and avoiding heading to the new camp as soon as I did the first time. There were a lot of things I missed, and I'm sure that's why I couldn't get anywhere in the NC. Thanks again. I'm robbing several of my neighbors now so I need to run.

I found I could run from almost anything very early in the game. Maybe you can leave new camp and get back to old camp and not lose what experience you have earned. Just skirt around all monsters from far away and move fast.

Start Over

I jumped in the stream and swam down to the bridge of the OC. It was kind of fun. Had to dive a few times to get away from the blood flies. But I did save my exp. points and can keep going. Thanks again for the help.
