Hi! The weirdest thing is happening: in the entire world of Gothic1, no one besides my character seems to need any sleep anymore. Every single NPC spends the night in their hut (as they should!), but they just sit or stand there all night and never go to bed.
Even stranger: when I walk into a hut and get yelled at by the inhabitant, I leave again and can then always see the NPC go to bed but as soon as he hits the bed, he gets up again and goes back to just sitting or standing there all night.
I played Gothic several times before on the same PC and it always worked perfectly. The only thing that changed since the previous time I played through Gothic, are my drivers (they have been updated) and perhaps my directx version (don't know for sure but I guess there's been a new version in the meantime) => could that be the problem?
I tried re-installing the game but that didn't help. I started a new game (thinking: perhaps my save is corrupt?) but found an entire colony of insomniacs again.
I'm glad I can still play through Gothic (until now - I just started chapter 2), but:
-this really gives me the creeps 
-this takes away one of my favourite passtimes in Gothic (sneaking and stealing)
-I am worried that later on in the game, I WILL come to a point where this strange "bug" (?) causes me to get totally stuck in the game
Can anyone please think of anything I could try? Any replies will be greatly appreciated. |

This is the "normal behaviour in Gothic" they all do it, some dont even lie down and no, it will not spoil anything later in the game.
