| HELP! Baladas, the Tax Collector, and Gnisis |

I went the route of a 'Paladin', and immediately joined up with the Empire in Gnisis. I have performed a few quests for the Empirial Town Commander, Darius, and he assigned me a new task that I can't figure out. A tax collector has gone missing, after paying a cranky 'ole Wizard a call to collect some money. I found the wizard, Baladas, who is a smart ass to say the least. But he looks like a BADASS-smartass, so killing him is out of the question. He will not release the Female Orc Tax Collector he has locked up in his convenient cellar-slash-jail. I went back to Darius, Darius asked to report on the case, and it is at this point that there is NO option to say, "She's SOL in his dungeon!'. I think Darius either wants her released, or the Wizzy dead.....but I'm not sure. SO, bottom line question is, how do you complete this quest? Or, in what different ways can this quest be completed; am I expected to kill Baladas? If so, I'll be coming back once I reach lvl 40.
Here's a journal entry on the quest:
Darius asked me to find out what happened to Ragash gra-Shuzgub, who tried
to collect taxes from Baladas Demnevanni. Baladas lives in the Arvs Drelen,
the tower here in Gnisis.

I am following your path fairly closely as to going to Gnisis and signing up with the Imperial Guards. I have yet to get that quest but from previous ones I would say you have to bribe, kill or flatter that Sorcerer. |

flatter him and and when he is friendly ask him about the tax collector and pick the option "learned her lesson"
he will give you the key to get her on your way out - he and his pet will not attack you - also check for some ebony and armour in the boxes at his jail.
One last thing of note - ask him about the dwemner when youve flatterred/bribed him |
