Permanant changes to the body

1: so far i have heard of eating apples and mushrooms giving mana and strength permenantly (10+mana only once tho, for 50 shrooms, and 1+ strength for 50 apples) right?

2: are there any other such secrets in the game?

3: also about potions..... first of all is it worth learning alchemy? and is it possible to make potions which give extra strength or dexterity or mana etc.... i believe kings sorrel is needed for this (btw i used all my Kings sorrel up ages ago for quick bucs, i have found a grand total of two in the game thats it.

any ideas on finding more kings sorrel?

thnx

All skills are worth it. You NEED alchemy for a later thing in the game.
I have ALL skills learned. I have used ALL of them so far.

Ohh, I ate something lately and have got +1 dexterity.
It would be very helpful to get a list of food or alchemy recipes, which allow permanent stats increase.

PS I have 1 kings sorrel, but I gave it to Constantinos to complete the quest on herbs list. Is this quest worth completing? He did give me something, but I donno what.

i suppose it is worh it because you get a whole lot of XP for it (i may be mistaken but i remember 200xp) i was allready a novice at the monestary so i didnt need to become his apprentice... just wanted the XP... does he keep hold of all the herbs? on his person or in a chest or something... or do they get used up?

Yes, 200xp and he takes all herbs. I have no idea what does he do with these herbs. And he gives something in return.

I'm pretty sure the herbs are just in his inventory, and you can buy em back immediately after.

This thread contains a list of much if not all King's Sorrel in the first couple of chapters.

IIRC Dragonroot gives a permanent +1 in STR but Dragonroot + King's Sorrel = Elixir opf Strength (+5 permanent STR bonus). Same thing applies for Goblin Berries and Dexterity (IIRC).

One can conclude. Alchemy is well worth it, since with 12 Kings sorrel one gains a +60 in stats for an investment of 25 LP in alchemy, not to mention learning usefull potions on the way.
