Wizardry 9 (if there will be something like Wizardry 9), Ultima has no chance, that is sure .

I hit quote instead of edit. Sorry about that. (although that and this counted as an extra 2 posts)

Your post makes no sense. There will be no Ultima 10. They've already stated that.

Well, considering neither of these will probably ever be made, all is just speculation.
I'd like to see Ultima 10 (Done right). I'd like to find out what happens to the Avatar after his merging with the Guardian. Will the Avatar have to relearn to battle this side of his soul to remain virtuous? Or how about giving in to the dark side? I always wanted to go back to Pagan and right some of the wrongs the Guardian had caused there.

Hypothetically speaking based on the trend of the previous games

Ultima 7 (Great Game though I personally never played it, just what I hear)
Ultima 8 (or VII part II)
Ultima 9 In a word- SUCKED

Wiz 6 Good Game
Wiz 7 Great Game
Wiz 8 An excellent game

Based on the predecessors, I would have to say that Wizardry 9 would be better than Ultima X.

Hypothetically speaking

Gee..... Thanks for the spoiler warning.

If you haven't played Ultima 9 by now, then the chances of you ever playing it are minimal. Besides, this a discussion of sequels to existing games, of course you are going to find spoilers about the existing games. People will point to things done in previous games to support their speculation on what a sequel might contain.

This was a "tongue-in-cheek" post since both games will not be published. But, if they were, which would you pick?

Tounge in cheek it may be but even the hypothetical notion of an ULTIMA 10 fills me with fear and loathing while the prospect of another Wizardry game is the most attractive possibility apart perhaps from a large lottery win that I could presently imagine.

Ultima 10 vs. Wizardry 9

I have to admit that I've never played a Wizardry game ( a few minutes with 7 and some of the 8 demo), but I can say that unless the Ultima style received an overhaul, I would cast my vote for Wizardry.

I was thrilled by Ultima 7 B, Serpent Isle and Ultima 8 because at least I didn't have to wander the world of Britannia restoring the shrines (or meditating at them) with the words of power so that I could open the dungeons and... it just felt like some of the Ultimas rehashed that part of the story every time I was in Britannia. I still really liked the Ultima games, but it would somehow have to be really fresh while still being an Ultima to hold my interest.

I never played Ultima, but, since I didn't like Wizardry 8 I'll have to say I'd try UX. I can't imagine liking it less than W8 and I sure wouldn't ever pick up another Wizardry game.
