Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (PC/Xbox 360) - Assorted Release D |
|
Microsoft's recent X05 event named a handful of definite starters for the Xbox 360 launch on November 22nd with a further group in the late stages of certification - presumably including Bethesda's Oblivion, which is widely accepted as a launch title. While not official confirmation, GameSpot's coverage quotes Take-Two as expecting Oblivion to make the launch.
Naturally, many of our readers will be interested to know if the PC version will make the same date - and according to Bethesda's Pete Hines on the official boards - it will:
We have always planned to release both versions simultaneously. That hasn't changed, nor will it.
Thanks Hetz from the Octopus Overlords forums. |

It's not usual for an RPG to be released so early if we consider its announcement day. There are two possibilities I think. A buggy game that released in November; or more stabilize game that will release later. I hope they will not release Oblivion full of bugs. If you have played Daggerfall you know what i am talking about. But, i think Oblivionīs release day will be pushed forward, bec Bethesda is still looking for artist to add more content to game. About the artist, that could be for expansions and stuff, as they will probably do the same with Oblivion as with Morrowind, that is all the programmers and such will move on to the next project and the artists will stay on Oblivion and make expansions for it.
Pete Hines has stated they will not release the game until it's ready, let's just hope this developer sticks to their word. |
