Secrets in Gothic 1

Hail to You!

At first I please you to apologize me about I haven't found the answers by the search engine and haven't got enough time to read through all the 53 pages:) - and for my very bad English... I'm from Hungary.

I played with the Gothic 1 and finished, but I have some questions left open.
1: What can I do in the Abandoned Mine? (that one next to the starter point - behind that enbarricaded gate. I used an Orcish Teleport Scroll. Tha game puts up a loading screen and I get to a _very_ dark place (the torches have no use).
2: Have the columns another use but lifting you up in that highland ruins (where you met the named orc shaman fighting with orc templars).
3: Where is the "TestLevel"? As I searched in the game files I ran across with textures linked to it. Is that exists?
4: What is that strange glimmering, blue thing for in the Swamp next to the Swamp Camp? That thing is standing on an island not far from the house where one of your companions lives - I can't remember his name.

I would be very gladful if I receive some answer. Those things bugging me...

Good bye and be good!

..I always forget things...

There is an underground "temple" (or what) in the orcish area with a gap in the middle and potions around in chests. Has that got any meaning?

Is there any quests or things related to the sunken houses in the lake of the New Camp?

Thanks so much, I have to dapart!

And you will come across some more bugging things, from what i heard there are a ot cut quests in Gothic, things the developers started working on but couldnīt finish because of their time-schedule. good examples are the altar in the swamp which you mentioned and the bandit camp at the troll canyon. It is very annoying to see something special and getting no quest about it, it's almost as boring as real-life

Seems you found several loose ends. The devs didnīt have enough time to wrap all this up. Gothic was their first project. Their organizational skills were not sufficiently developed.
