I downloaded the 1.08k patch and I'm still getting a little video stuttering when I run or jump in Gothic. My system is a high-end gaming system (3DMark score: 6940) so I don't know why this is happening. I am using a Hercules Geforce 3 and first I tried the 23.11 Nvidia reference drivers. Then I tried the Hercules 21.81 drivers. Same thing with both drivers. I also tried Cacheman, I set everything to optimize and it didn't make a difference. The game is still totally playable, but it's not very smooth. Anyone know how to fix the video stuttering problem? |

Well I increased the virtual memory to 2 gigs and it's working smooth now. I am playing at 1024 X 768 with Quincunx anti-aliasing. It still stutters a very tiny bit occasionally, but I don't think it's possible to get this game to run as smooth as Quake III for example. |

Actually, yes it is. I have absolutely NO stuttering problems of any kind - I think there are many others as well. It just might take some tweaking to get it there - but if it isn't interfering with game play I would leave it be.

Type toggle frame in the console to find out the frame rate. Increase the eye-candy as long as you get 20fps constantly. |
