Shopkeeper prices in TOEE |
|
Does anyone know what affects the prices in the shops in TOEE.
The manual says that having the Appraise skill is susposed to let you buy for less and sell for more. I think this feature is broken because everyone in my party gets offered the same prices, including my Rogue who has 7 ranks in Appraise. |

I've noticed that those with higher appraise skills can sell for more. Never noticed with buying. I don't buy stuff often. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Appraise allows you to get closer to 50% sell value. It doesn't affect buying price any. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

One of the issues in the new official patch, says that everybody in your party can sell/buy with prices according to the character with the highest level of "appraise". So no need to move a lot of stuff around to the charcter with the highest appraise skill before selling and buying. _________________ Moderator on RPGdot.com Forum.

Correct, useful, and down right sensible. Why would a party trying to sell things not let their 'leader' do all the talking and selling and just pass objects to the merchant for inspection.
Having to bump things around was needlessly time consuming and added nothing to the game. It should have been handled 'transparantly' (like eating and going to the washroom) in the first place. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
