JoWood not to be bought by Infogrames

That didn't take too long, did it?

JoWood sent us a press release, saying that they are not interested in being bought by any company.
 
 The original text was submitted to us in German. Here's my translation attempt:
 
 As opposed to today's rumors in Austrian business magazines, JoWood Productions Software AG intends to continue its business on its own. However, a closer cooperation with business partners is a mid-term goal of the company. It is not an essential part of the ongoing restructuring process though.
 The restructuring concept that was decided upon in 2002 is being translated into action. It is advancing as planned.

That sucks.

It would have been nice if they had been bought out, that way publishing outside Germany would be reasonable. Just one mistake after another.

According to http://futurezone.orf.at/futurezone.orf?read=detail&id=149513, both statements (Infogrames connection and the intention not to sell) come from INSIDE JoWooD. Go figure *g*
