Suprisingly I agree with Khaine
Swords are more practical and operativ than bows...

Hi,

It's Lukas from CD Projekt. You'll find many weapons in "The Witcher" and our hero will be able to use it freely. It is true that swords are Geralts favourite weapons but surely there won't be any limitation. As for now there is no specific settlement regarding use of bows. One will surely find foes using bows but there is no decision if witcher will be able to use it:)

Hello Lukas,

Nice to see the devs in these forums.

Could you tell us if you are ready to disclose the name of
the publisher and a release date any time soon ?
(you are starting to worry us )

To be honest I can't announce publishers name right now cause we're still in negotiations But as far as I know we're on a good way to settle everything soon. And then we will inform you on our official site.

As for the release date... Development phase should be done in few months I think (but this is not an official statement of CD Projekt ). Then we will need some time for beta-tests etc.... so, I can't tell anything specific . It will depend also on publisher's plans.
