I refuse to think FO3 will never be done, some company should buy the license, hire some old BIS employees and finish the game!

Damn... and I thought that FO3 had potential, it was one of the few RPG I was really looking forward to... and not just FO3 was scrapped, but basically the entire BIS.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.

That's kind of disappointing. I've been enjoying Fallout 1 and I'll probably enjoy the second game if it's anything like the original.

Look here to find out more about chances that F3 may be recreated/continued by Silver Style. I pray for success - do it with me and please sign petition here (maybe not best pointed but very sincere):

Sorry for mistake with link above.

This news was published today by www.gry.wp.pl http://gry.wp.pl/core.html?filtr=0,0&x=nowinki,10,10412 one of the best Polish game sites (don`t know if I`m allowed to publish it but since it`s non-profit...):

"Sprzedano prawa do Galleona
Snake; środa, 17 grudnia 2003

Interplay Entertainment sprzedał firmie SCi Games wszystkie prawa do gry Galleon: Islands of Mystery. Szczegóły tej umowy nie są znane. Powodem takiej decyzji były kłopoty finansowe firmy i niepewna przyszłość.
Niewykluczone, że wkrótce Interplay pozbędzie się również praw do innych gier."

In English:

"Rights to Galleon sold
Snake; wednesday, 17 december 2003

Interplay Entertainment sold to the SCi Games company all rigts to the game Galleon: Islands of Mystery. Details of this agreement remain unknown. The reasons behind such decision were financial difficulties of the company and uncertain future. It`s possible, that soon Interplay will get rid off the rights to the other games."

Sorry for all the mistakes. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS, THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR US. If they are on such a money shortage who knows... Fallout3 was almost finished... KEEP THE FAITH.

Well, some of the people that made Black Isle what it was have already moved on.

Brian Fargo - now making a new Bard's Tale at his new inXile studios

Chris Avellone (lead designer or Planescape: Torment) - with Interplay producer Feargus Urquhart at Obsidian Entertainment (rumored to be making Star Wars: KotOR 2 for Bioware)

And the guys at Troika have already made Arcanum and ToEE.

Lastly, Icewind Dale designer JE Sawyer just quit last month.

The people who made the BIS games that we all enjoyed have already moved on. I just hope that their new games would capture our hearts and minds like the Fallouts and Planescapes of past. =)
