Questions about game mechanics

Hi, I had a couple of questions about some things in the game that don't seem to be covered in tutorials, manual or the game itself...

-What does poison do? I was under the impression it was supposed to drain your health, but it never does...

-What's that big metal structure poking out of almost every level that nobody seems to notice?

-Is stealth really a neccessary skill for stealthy characters? My character has put almost no skill points into it, but can still sneak effectively in shadows... much easier than in Thief in fact ...

-Do longer weapons have a further reach in-game?

-Is there any way to get an NPC to move? I got butchered by goblins once after one trapped me in the lavatory and demanded I move while blocking my way

-Are creatures less observant while sleeping? I haven't noticed this, but I'm not certain...

Thanks

Hey,

Poison can be used on your weapon to increase damage to enemies.

The structures are teleporters. When you get to the point in game, the Snake lady in the castle will teach you have to use them.

No, stealth is not much use other than if you want to try to play as theif rather than fight.

Yes, they do seem a little better in damage done, and better than bones. LOL

No, but if you do move, they will move eventually. Most have way points they go to and from.

Not that I noticed. They do seem to let you get closer, but they all woke up when I tried to sneak up on them. Only ones who don't were the guards in castle, they seem to sleep no matter what. LOL

Hi, thanks for your answers . On the topic of poison I was actually talking about when the player is poisoned, and the metal structure-- I mean the big iron one where you hear a wind sound near, not the monoliths, but thank you again .

Sorry, yes poison does make you loose more hit points than just a hit would do. If you don't get cured you continue to loose them as well. Depends on the strength of the poison as to for how long that goes on. Most of the time it seems to wear off fast with little cost.

As for sturcture, I don't really know what you are refering to. Do you have a level and room? I can't think of anything I would have describe like that.
