Hmmm I wonder what the locals on that map are. Cant wait to get the game and find out. .

To put a guess out in the open I'd say that this map is of the 4th camp and its surrondings. The one that was outside the barrier. That would explain the port and the small town on the western shore. And ill bet that the buildings in the north central area is the Monastary.

Can anybody confirm or deny my guesses.

The city by the shore is Khorinis(i'm not so sure now, i always forget the name ), the "building" that has a long bridge in front of it is the monastery, and some houses near grand fields are bound to be the gathering place of dragon slayers. A tower can be clearly seen near the road that leads to dragon slayers, so it must be one of Xardas.
Anyhow, the world looks a bit small, according to this map. Are there any areas in the world that are not shown on the map? If not(if this is the whole thing) where was the barrier?

I don't think this map includes the 'old world'. There's probably a second map when you enter the area from gothic 1.

I think that the brown square things in the south-east corner are the farms. But anyway there seems to be more lakes than in gothic.

This map shows the "new world", which is about twice as big as Gothic 1. Somewhere to the north, east or south the enterable and now devastated "old world" is located. And last but not least there is a third area, which you'll be able to reach late in the game by ship - an island. No idea where or how big it is, but I think it's part of the "new world".

Considering that this map covers an area that is about twice as big as Gothic the town of khorinis seems to be at least three to four times as big as the Old Camp. Can't wait to visit it. "drool"

I hope the map in G2 doesn't take several seconds to open like in G1.

Wherever the "old world" is it seems that there won't be any surface passage between "old" and "new" world. I think that the only connection between worlds will be an underground passage through mine caves. In this way, our hero can come to the "new" world. But I'm affraid that we wont see the "old" world even though I heard the opposite. And how could anyone else from the "old" world come to Khorinis? I', not shure.

Where hav you heard about this Island? It would bi nice (why a ship on the map then?).

@ alyf
the old world surely will be included. but it is connected to the "newwolrd" through a loading zone..
(btw. one of only two loading zones g2 has)

*small spoiler*
but it won't be a dungeon connection, but a dusty and rocky pass to the oldworld.
where it is located in the map? well this one i won't tell you

Oh, that's why? I always assumed it had something to do with the programing. Anyway, I can do without that type of immersion.

The link is broken... would anyone post a new link to the map? I'd love to see it!
