Since Troika hasn't release many interesting info, i don't expect much.

Yes, it is cool to use Source engine, but by comparison, the graphics and art style of creatures look more generic and uninspiring than what in HL2. Same game engine, but i think capability of the developer team is even more important.

I want to see something very good in gameplay - a good story, sophisticated plot, interesting NPCs and few unforgetable characters, etc.

With Bloodlines, will Troika become as famous as other top game developers such as Ion Storm? The game would either be good or very good. There is some chance to become an excellent game. A masterpiece? unlikely. Umm... did i spoiled something?, said something bad?... .

I expect lots of vampire, blood-sucking, blowing up everything fun. But maybe that's just me.

This game looks to be a few CDs of pure awesomeness! It takes place in a modern-day world, and you are a Vampire (surprise!). You must decide which faction to join, and whose side to fight for. You can hang out at nightclubs, but if you reveal yourself to the human population, the other vampires can become very angry at you. This game also has a complex political system, so you can use charisma and connections to try to change or overthrow the vampire government. If this game isn't a revolutionary RPG, I'll eat my shorts! (seriously!)

Eh? You like FPS or i got the wrong impression from the statements?. I remeber game like BloodRayne did offers blood sucking, sword slashing, and gun blazing vampire... and a cute vampire, too .

Not all developers actually successful in creating a genre bending titles. Most successful are Rockstar (GTA series), Ion Storm (Deus Ex), and few others. Bloodlines is the first genre-crossing title for Troika. If they failed, the game won't satisfied both FPS and RPG gamers.

I honestly don't see why people find vampires attractive (something about the creepy skin and the bloodstains just doesn't attract me). I mean, they're just creepy!!! Ah well, tastes differ.

@Remus: Watching the trailer I saw a lot of gun-toting, blow up your enemies, blood-sucking stuff with some dialog on the side. So, the main attraction to this title will be the action I'm betting.
However, with Troika hopefully giving me more options in the game, I can do more than just run around blowing everything up.

I agree with Val - the game is going to be pretty cool, and I like gun-firing and blood sucking ...

Is this one going to be an MMOG?

It looks delicious...

PC Gamer has it listed as an Action/RPG. I was hoping it was wrong! The game looks like the makings of a great MMORPG.

They aren't wrong. The last thing we need is yet another MMORPG. You couldn't get visuals this good in a MMORPG.

Sure you could. You just need to make your net code efficient and push up the client side responsibilities. If the textures, etc, aren't being downloaded from the server and are just getting server requests to load appropriate textures then you could have the game look as pretty as you want.

And it would lag like nothing else.

It's got online aspects, like Masquerade did most likely... that was everyone's favorite feature (I never played). That's really for the best. Up to 16 people or 32 people even and you can have great gameplay without sacrificing graphics.

Though I think most people would be hard pressed to say Star Wars Galaxies suffers in graphics, as its graphics are better than Morrowind's in my opinion.
