A few questions

Would someone answer these questions for me please?

1) I just created my second party, and I've realised it sucks - is there a way I can delete one of the party members and replace it with a new level 1 guy? Or do I have to start afresh?

2) Could someone tell me a good place to level up? I'm level 11/12 and I am getting my butt kicked left right and centre without heal all/rest all

Thx to thee

I liked to camp the green slime pit in the lower monestary.

Arnika-Trynton road is a great place for XP mongering. Most people agree that extensive combat strictly for XP doesn't pan out overly well. Check out Max's thread:

Someone kick me if that link doesn't work right. I'm a forum-link rookie....

Link worked fine. In fact, I referenced the same thread in another post yesterday, so I'm going to edit my post from yesterday with your link.

damn

Yo, I don't have the manual for this game.... so that RTFM response didn't help me much But thx anyway Re: 2) I hauled ass to that slime pool, but all I got was 9 rats and 8 metalic slimes :/

Re: 1) I've searched everywhere in the game for an option to substitute a party member, but I haven't found one, so I will assume that I cannot do this and I must restart. As I said, I don't have a manual, and I will never have one. So if you would be so kind as to extrapolate, I would be most grateful

Shucks.

I'm going to assume you merely misplaced your manual. We don't treat warez scum well here...

Bring up the inventory screen on the character you want to ditch. Click on their name. Click on the double arrow button. Create a new character. Buy equipment. Play.

Many thanks to you sire ! That is a great help.

Regarding the absence of my manual : Since I live in England, I found it almost impossible to obtain Wiz8 at the time of launch without paying high delivery charges. Instead, I opted to buy it from ebay, unpackaged and without manual. It is a second hand copy, not pirated.

Hope that goes some way to reassuring you that not everyone is a software cheat (Not saying that's what I was being accused of, either! )

My pleasure. I suppose an apology is in order, given your explanation. We've had a few "blatant and proud" warez-scum drop by in the past looking for different kinds of help. They couldn't understand our unhappiness. I guess I'm particularly sensitive to it since Sir-Tech went out of business. It's very doubtful I'll ever see a Wiz9 because a good developer couldn't make a buck or two, and that honestly makes me sad (and mad).

If you have more questions, feel free to ask. In the future, I'll even try to be nice...

If you do laps around the catacombs, including the 'slime pit' and camping in King Crab's room (and mixing potions at Burz), you get lots of metallic and flesheating slimes, usu. ca. 15k XP per lap AND if you hit them hard enough on the final blow, they drop nice things, inc. Mirror Amulets. You just have to give it a nap between laps for them to respawn.
