I'm still struggling in the very first part of the game. Just how long is the game. I heard maybe 100 hours?

I think it's a lot like Gothic Max, in that you can make it pretty much as long as you want, if you explore everything...

However, I'm sure this game is a LOT longer than gothic, even if you rush through...

Maybe 80 hours are minimum (you can use several "bugs" to train your character, but if you will not do that, you will not have strong enough characters before that for final battles

I used 142 Hours for my first game, and I still had a few loose ends. Still, if I had rushed the game, I'm sure it still would be a 100+ hours game. Okay if you cheat, about getting info's about locations and quest items, you may do the game even faster, but who wants to spoil that experience, to discover it yourself

So maybe this 80 hours are nonsence. I didnt trace my playing time.
So maybe it was 100+ hours, I do not know.

Yes I cheated a little bit (using walktroughts and FAQs). Especially with those "word" riddles. I am FPS player (or maybe I was ). What I like is action and when I spend 4 looking for something and I still can not find it, I will use walktrought. It doesnt spoil my game, it just help me. Maybe I am not enough patient, but it is just thing of your likes and dislikes

It's okay to get a little help when you are stuck, and have tried on your own a while. But following a walkthrough guide is just spoiling the game IMHO. There is a better satisfaction in have found the solution yourself.
"Danicek" you are a FPS guy in your own words, well then I'm impressed that you did manage to finish W8 and with pleasure it seems. W8 is defently not for the easy gamers, it needs time to get familiar with its possibilities, which can scare many people, especially FPS gamers.
BTW: Have you played Serious Sam: Second Encounter yet. Very nice graphic, and a lot of, and I mean a lot of things to shoot! Very simple but fun!

Which ending did you choose in W8. I chose to WRITE in the big book! With a lets say satisfying outcome! (No spoiler).
Haven't tried the other endings. Saving them for the next party

I think I became another god - writing history in that book...
I have several saves near to the end, but I think, I will save another endings for another party.
Now I am trying to play with one character (Lord), but this is just "test". I will try another party and normal difficulty (first time I played on easy difficulty).

Hey Guys !!

Hold up a minute. I presume that most of you live in the grand old US of A (??!!)

I live in dear olde England and haven't even seen Wiz 8 in any store yet....jeez.

Some of you have finished it already, my life.

I tried the demo. Excelled.

Is there a decent story, character interaction, NPC's etc; in other words, for a hardcore RPG guy, has it been worth looking forward to ?
As you are aware, so many games dissapoint, such as POR2, Gorasul didn't get good press either.

I have not even seen Wiz 7 over this side of the pond.

Anyone (Rendelius ?) got an angle on release date for us poor Englanders??

I can not tell you if it is RPG for hardcore RPGs payers (I am not one of them)...
But I can tell you this:
- this game is great
- story is perfect
- interaction is good, many NPC...
- game is long (or long enough - for me nothardcorerpgplayer)

This game is deffinitely not disapoitment.

It is strange that Wiz8 is not yet in England, because it is here in Czech Republic and it is "end of world" here, so I suppose it should be in England.

Hexmaster: Yep, this game is also for the hardcore CRPG players, and I would say especially for them. The mood of the game is as in the good old days CRPG with a lot of in depth character building. Danicek explains well the games other advantages!
