That Turret Mini Game Again |
|
I'm replaying for the romance with Carth. Now I'm leaving the Leviathan and I'm stuck in the mini-game again. Maybe it would help if I knew what I was doing.
I can now get off to a good start, especially with this one since it loads so quickly. I pause at the very beginning and get my finger on the trigger and then blast away. I can get down to as low as three ships left.
So, here's the scenario. My ship is well in the blue. I look at the radar screen and
the closest ship is at 1 o'clock,
the next closest is at 7 o'clock,
and the furthest is at 5 o'clock.
I am paused. What do I do?
Do I swing around in circles mindlessly waiting for someone to come in view?
How do I know who is coming up behind me and is close enough to damage me?
I can't make any relation out of what I see on the radar and when I'm hit or when something will come into view on the main screen.
Meanwhile this game is good form my house. I usually put off chores because I'm playing a game. Here I take a break from the turret to clean something, then go back for another beating:)
Thanks for any instructions you can give. _________________ SilkenKidden |

It's a Force/Zen thing. Handle it like Luke and Han in Episode IV: A new hope. Rotate the turret, do not think, get an enemy in your sites and fire away. It's really easy. Don't sit around and wait for them, or keep shooting in the same spot. You'll kill em in no time.
By the way, what happens if they kill you? I did not even know this was possible? A video clip or anything? Does it show the Ebon Hawk getting shot down? _________________ Between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities…there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars…Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand…to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet. - Robert E. well it lets you keep firing for a while actually after you have lost.
Carth says the ebon hawks been hit. and then a message says the ship has been destoryed. And then youre in the main menu.

The method I use to beat it is to take out 3 or 4 of the ships right at the start. They are doing a fly-by and you can nail several of them easy that way. After that I just look at which one is closest and focus on it while ignoring the others. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Just keep firing, don't take your finger off the fire button. I liken this part of the game to slapping houseflies. |
