Statues of anmials.
   

What is the main purpuse of the statues of anmials? I have the Frog and the huge spider one and if i use the huge spider one prople will kill me, but when i use the frog they dont and the snakes, wolfs, hornets, and others leave me alone. Im confused.

frog is best
   

Hey, frog is very nice to change into when you have some long way to travel or are encumbered. It allows you to move at a speed, indeed!

Spider (and beetle) is as you mentioned - to go by monsters undisturbed - but be careful, this methamorphosis is not lasting very long. I used it to see how many of them are just behind the corner, etc.

I did not find any use for a cat. Except it weights nothing and can be sold for a price, so can keep it for tougher times, when money gets short (which is rather not possible later in the game; only if you were unable to sell stuff, becouse merchants were too poor).
