I have already gone through first 3 chapters of the game, but there's one problem that persistantly bugs me.
It's the presence of corrupted(misplaced) textures throughout the whole game.
I searched the net for a pacth to fix this, but found nothing.
I have Gf2 MX400, detonators 29.42(winxp), viaKT133, nwn v1.19
The problem persists even if I lowered the bus of memory under default value, which points to a conclusion it isn't a hw fault. Does anybody know a possible solution? |

I wish I could help you, but the only solution I could come up with happened due to a hard drive failure. I bought a new HDD, new memory, new motherboard and new cpu. One of those items fixed the problem because I have not had those issues since the rebuild.
At this point, I'd be looking at the graphics card you use. Make sure you are using the best driver for that card AND this game. I have to use the older version of the driver for this game...and the newer version for Morrowind. Go figure.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a later version of NWN? I could have sworn I've upgraded it recently. That too might help.
Luck to you. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Turning auto hide second story tiles in options>game options off reduced the problem, but it is still present.
To me, switching to older detonators just doesn't make sense. 29.42 is a certified driver, last one that had any improvements regarding gf2 technology, so it must be the best..
System memory shouldn't be a problem either. It is true that I have alocated 1/4 of it for agp. But if data that runs through that memory is corrupted, wouldn't it result in complete system instablity? That isn't the case, though..
That means that it must be the graph. card. It is very posible, since it's of low quality(not to mention the memory on it).. Maybe lowering some settings, like fast write, or memory latency could resolve the problem? |

That or upgrading your card. I know, I get tired of hearing that response too. But most of the stuff that came out in the past year do require higher end cards. And the latest drivers are not necessarily the best. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Upgrading isn't always the answer. I use a GF2 32 meg MX card and I've never, every had any of the problems I've read about on any board with any game. With the exception of Freedom Force, but then it was an audio hardware acceleration problem, not a video card problem. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
