Now there's a great game that doesn't get much mention around here. RTS for the reflex challenged... Although I kinda burned out on it, I certainly got my money's worth. Never did finish the expansion's campaign, though. So which guild is your favorite? I really liked cultists for some reason.

to mention a game totally different from any game so far; Serious Sam 2.

If you like fps'es at all, this one's great, mowing down wave upon wave of more or less insane-looking creatures

should be bargain bin as well

Planescape was the best RPG I've played - no doubt about it. I second the plan to try and get that game into everyones house. I don't think I can stress to people who havn't played it - GO AND GET IT! I'm quite sad and end up even telling people who don't play games to get it and when they don't, lecture them about what a great film it would make by hitting them with the story. Yes, I am a very sad individual.

I've got that and all Black Isle/Bioware games. And Wiz8. Enjoyed every one.

May try out Deus Ex cos I've never played that and I've heard its a classic.

Hard one.... choice would have to be between the dwarves, temple of Krypta and the gnomes. I love the ballista towers, love the names of the sisters and love the gnomes when they say "I am a champion". It's not a challenging game, but it is fun.

THE LAW OF DAUROS IS ABOVE ALL OTHERS!
My faves are the Paladins and the Elves

Aieeee, the Torment followers have taken over this forum too!
Let's begin the chant everyone: SEQUEL! SEQUEL!

Australia isn't so far behind that Torment is considered a 'new' game, but it'll still set you back about 30 (Australian) dollars to get it.

That's why I was pretty pleased to receive a free copy when I preordered BG2 from EB! Woooo, two great games for the price of one.

Both Serious Sam and Deus Ex are worth their money, though if you're more of a RPGer you should try Deus Ex. Or is there any other game where it has effects on later gameplay when curiosity leads you into your company's Ladies' Room?

At the GC they said in QI/2003. I didn't check if they updated it though.

It´ll probably hit the shelves the same fine morning as Gothic2, and I will only have money for one of them. And no bullets, so robbery is out of the question too, plus I´m too nice for that kind of ill behaviour.

Try System Shock 2 if you like Deus Ex.

They cited it as a major influence.

Besides its with the best the genre has produced.

Every good old really expirienced RPGer should try Serious Sam. Because there is NO roleplaing and there is not deep story and NPCs and...
