I got 3 games these weekend : SANITY , SUMMONER & EVIL ISLANDS .
SUMMONER -great , combat system sux!
EVIL ISLANDS - great , fun , cool , but most fun of all :::::::::::::::
"SANITY" - WHAT TO SAY ABOUT IT? ICE-T IS MAIN CHARACTER! O.G.-ORIGINAL GANGSTER ICE-T! HOW CAN IT BE THAT NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT THIS GREAT GAME , AND ICE-T IS IN IT.
I GONNA PLAY WHOLE FUCKING WEEK , WITH ICE-T
GANGSTEAR-RAP IN BACKGROUND! IT KICKS ASS!!!!!!

DoW, you crazy about Summoner, battle is the BEST part of that game! Once you set their AI, all you do is click 1 time and watch the battle unfold (damn, so sweet). And you was right about travel....getting from A to B takes like 25-30 min cause of roadblock and crap (no climb? damn).
I got it this weekend too, how far did you get? I'm about to head into a swamp for the Queen.
Oh, bought Evil Islands too cause I saw the screen shots here so many times, had to get it. Lookin a little to adventury for me, will try it again when I get home.

The thing that baffles me is how they get people to actually PAY for extra spells in the multiplayer. Its so corny. I cant believe you would pick it over Summoner.

I thought Evil Islands stunk. The voice acting was silly, the character interaction was almost nonexistent, and they couldn't even include a decent sound effect for when the guy stabbed somebody.
Instead of "SLASH!" you get "CHICK!"
Evil Islands was the game I returned they day I bought Gothic. Maybe that's why I'll never forget it... |

I bought Summoner and Evil islands, figuring I'll play one at work one at home. Well I played evil islands for about 10 minutes at work:
Is it strictly top-down p.o.v?
Feels more like arcade/adventure than rpg.
bah, for $20s I guess I'll keep it. Looks simple so far.

and the update:
Evil Islands is teh suQ. I cant play past my first death (which is about 1-2 minutes into each game). When the screen comes up to load/save/options, etc...I stare at the screen for 10-15 seconds...then I load up something else. There is no *umph* to that game...I have no desire to jump right back in and get past the monster/challenge/ obstacle that last stopped me |

Evil Islands:
use your stealth and sneak skills in the beginning of the game. it takes some time to kill the bigger bad guys.
