One word: HARM. A spell that you get by combining Rhaa with something else (Vitae?)
But save your money and get Rhaa from Maria- the lady who sells magic in Arx, y'know?
Even Ysilde fall easily when they run blindly into you when you cast Harm. It hardly costs any mana. which is real cool, you wear it like a shield until something runs into you and gets fried.
Another thing- Find all the water lily plants you can and turn them into life potions- you'll need a few of those, too.
I poisoned a slayer blade, You know that part of the game where the Ysilde bum-ruch Arx? - You need the harm spell. That, plus two or three whacks with the poisoned slayer, down they go, even when they attacked me two at a time- you need a few - I had 10 life potions- during that whole assualt stage, still had like half left over, you can use a heal spell, wait till your mana re-charges before going forwards.
Oh, and you CAN cast an undead through a closed door! Just cast it at the door, you'll hear him fight whatever it behind the door. real cool. Now I got that awesome Ysilde armor.
PS- Does anyone know where Oliver's chest is?

Oliver's Chest is on level 4 is you're still looking for it..... When you teleport in, jump down and go right, and you'll be in oliver's room.. and then it's the left chest. The chest on the right has his ring.
Ahh, the ylsides at arx  I haven't recieved a single hit from a ylside as of yet  I haven't been to the bunker tho.. looking forward to that lolz..
My favourite weapon nowadays is lord inut's magic bow enchanted with garlic to give me a dexterity bonus.. it does a shitload of damage if you're far enough.. plus you can poison your arrows if you please too I've killed ylsides with one shot with that thing.. and those who managed to survive that and tried to charge me just get to eat a fireball pie
The ylsides are stupid.. this game doesn't have much in terms of NPC AI.. but don't worry, i'm working on rescueing future games from crappy AI
The funniest thing was when i teleported from arx into the castle, and then levitate to above the front gate, openned it.. the ysldie out there doesn't see you until you attack.. got as far away as i could with him in sight, and let a fire arrow rip.. wasn't far enough to take him out with one shot, so he charged me.. too bad for him i was floating above him lolz.. he just kept standing under me.. but i couldn't hit him caz he was directly under me.. so i cast a fireball, and before it floated away from me, i cancelled the levitate spell.. fell right in front of the ylside, and the fireball followed me down, ryte onto him.. poor fella.. i made it rain fire on him  lolz
