Since when has Google-bombing been funny?

Juvenile would be a better description.

Don't understand the joke, Merc. Is it about Bush? Cause that was what showed up the most. If that is the joke then it's a miserable failure I would say. I don't like Bush neither, but that almost goes for all politicians.

Btw, you should know that Val votes for Bush. I knew that after her reply on the false photographs of Jhon Kerry with Hannoi Jane. Even when it was made clear that it consisted out of two photos, she still wouldn't admit that i was just mud throwing of the Republican side to the Democratic. (I even said that it goes from both parties -> the mud throwing at each other, I mean)

"miserable failure" is a political quote by a Democrat describing Bush, of course it's going to come up. Do a search on "unfit for command", see what comes up there!

edited- too much venom, involvement than I want with political thread ='.'=

Well I found it funny that I when I wrote Miserable Faliure in google that it showed Bush as the TOP HIT of the phrase. I would have exptected something else Like some sport news or something like that. How one country expected something from their sportsman or something but they've went deep below the expectations. Or I would have thought that some article would come up. The last thing I expected is Bush.

I didn't mean to anger anyone or something I just wanted to show what can you find by coincidence.

I doubt anyone is angry, Merc. I just personally find those types of pranks silly and juvenile. I don't like having my favorite search engine manipulated with junk like Google-bombing.

I didn't know this was made intentionally. I thought this was a coincidence. I stilll don't understand the meaning of this google-bombing. Is it simply to arrouse anger or just to have fun with users ? (Otherwise I am not really interested in politics so I don't have a clue about it. I'll guess this will come by when im 18+ when I will have to vote.)

Well, as the site I linked to states, there are different types of Google-bombs. There are the jokes, like the one you posted about. Another example would be if everyone put a link on their site to RPGDot that said something like:
RPGDot <a href="http://www.rpgdot.com">"Best RPG News"</a>
Then added their sites to Google.
Then, after awhile, whenever someone typed "Best RPG News" in the search engine, RPGDot would be at the top of the list.

Like most things, Google-bombing can be used and abused.

EDIT: Hmm... looks like currently we're at #3 on Google's search list for "Best RPG News".

Hehe Thanks for explanations. I would have otherwise thought that I made you angry with this "joke".

Jimmy Carter second!
I was hoping for Tony Blair.

That's true, but than you have to watch out for politicians who only promise one thing and don't have a political statement about other things.

He may be the least dissapointing, but is he the best choice for your country?

Just because an elected official doesnt manage to come good on all of his campaign promises, doesnt mean he wasnt a good choice.

There will be far more things he needs to take care of during his term than the political hot topics at the time of his campaign. That is what you need to consider.
