A few Qs

Well, bought the game yesterday, started today now in Old Camp......

1, Im not a killer ( i kill those who require killling ) but Mud's starting to really get on my nerves, hes going to get his throat cut in a dark alley soon, is there any point to him??

2, How many times do i have to pay the protection money? ( will i have to pay each guy more than once in the game? )
Ore seems to be rare and it looks like its going to cost me a fortune to train?

3, Where do i learn magic? do i get the chance after i delivered the Letter?

ther was others but i cant think of them at the moment, lol oh well thanks.

my advise: take Mud into the forest and slit his throwt, or stomach if you prefer.

ore is rare at the begging. a nice way to get 1000 ore: make sure you are pretty good fighter first. then find those 2 hunters you saw at the beggining. beat up drax, he has has 1000 ore on him.

Don't pay protection money. You can take care of yourself.

Jar Jar Binks. Was there a point to him? Mud's last name is Binks. Nuff' said!

Ore ore everywhere! But you can't get it! That's part of the fun. You gotta work your way up! If you gotta ore early onna, the game is no funna.

Depends. You have to join the Old Camp, then later, when you're good enuf' to be a guard you can choose to train as a mage instead. Other camps let you tinker in magic, but ya'll nev'r become ze poverfool mage.

About the protection money: Bloodwyn will demand it each day while Jackal will ask for it just once... and he will not be sore with you if you don't pay him (well... at least not really sore ).

1. Mud is unimportant.
2. You can see this as a quest with more than one solution. Like in many other newbie quests you have to live with the consequences of your decision. Save often and in different slots.
3. You can learn magic in all three camps. If you want to play as a mage you should stick to the Old Camp and avoid the Sect Camp.

You can avoid having to kill or beatdown Mud, but only before you activate him. Simply run along the wall and he will never activate.
