Dragon eggs?

What are dragon eggs for? Do I just sell them or are they for a special quest?

well it all depends on which guild you're in and what chapter

if you are talking about any dragon eggs gained before chapter 6, it depends on guild

if you're a merc you should have planty of eggs from the chapter 4/5 quest. you have a choice of whether to give them to bennet for an xp reward and some gold or you can alternatively keep then for chapter 6 and make an extra potion out of them

if you're a paladin you can give one of the 2 eggs to the alchemist in the monastry (1 egg from ice dragon and the other in a cave in the valley where lester was in chapter 1) who will then reward you

i'm not sure if a mage can do anything with the eggs though (also gets 2 max)

in chapter 6 all guilds can learn how to make a str +15 potion out of dragon eggs (either 10 or 12 i can't remember)

hope that helps

The mage has a quest from the same alchemist also.

You can use the dragon egg to stand on. Near the ice dragon is a tower worth exploring but it is just out of reach for a normal jump.

It is indestructible. I tried rolling it down mountains.

Although it says in my inventory "The egg is warm, and there's a scratching noise inside."

ah, right. I went back there using an old save game and it is worth going up there as there are a couple of elixir of life potions which give permanent hitpoints of +15 each and other items in a couple of chests nearby, one on the roof of that storage house with a bed.

I did not need the egg this time. Maybe it is because I have a faster CPU now, but I find the jump/Ctrl key works better in climbing with the shift/walk toggled on.
