I've got a question, How do you have the Races of Arx book show up as 'read' in your journal - so I 'know' the answer when talking to the ice dragon? |

lol, you go into the library in the castle, and READ the book 
I don't even know if you have to do that to get the number right, to be honest.. before i tried fighting the dragon, i actually baught one of her eggs by mistake.. i tried giving her stuff, and i tried giving her money (i have well over 10000 at the time, so i didn't really care.. plus i wasn't gonna save), and hey presto, she accepted exactly 4815 and i got an egg..

that dragon won't sell me an egg no matter what (1) using the gold on it, (2) trying to give the gold or (3) repeatedly asking. Dragon keeps repeating to go read a book. When I get to castle library, I tried to use the book, then the f key. Nothing is working. |

can you read any other books in the library? normally you just hover your mouse over the book, and then press enter/use it to read it, and u just click on the bottom right/left corner of the book to flip the pages.. if you can't open the books, and u have the 1.17 patch installed, i don't know what could b wrong..
of course, you cna always slaughter the dragon and that way get ALL her eggs for a fraction of the cost (if you consider cos of potions and weapons and armour used), plus you get her bones
