DS2 a disaster compared to DS1 or is it just me?
First off - I played DS1 and half of the expansion. So last night I happily installed DS2 and started playing.
What the heck is this? All these screens and tabs and skills and stuff? What is the point of all these trivial "features" getting in my way? Why is evey enemy highlighted by the cursor? Why is this interface SO BUSY??? It seems like the devs went out of their way to cram in a bunch of pointless features that have absolutely no bearing on the gameplay. The gameplay is no different from DS1 so why am I wading through all this BS trying to be passed off as *depth* which in reality is in the way of the gameplay?
I uninstalled in disgust - but... Am I selling the game short? Does it improve? Do the skills become important later? _________________ "For Innos!"

I don't understand what made you so angry. The UI doesn't seems to be that much different from DS 1. I enjoyed the game "the way it was meant to be played" (hack and slash).
The skills may be quite powerful later in the game. Mainly if you distribute your points to skills that suit your character and that contribute to opening/leveling the special powers (which may be very strong later on).

I think the $50 made me angry. I'll try it again later when I've got more patience. _________________ "For Innos!"
