I have an extrange problem with G2 Demo audio. Everything plays 'twice', when somebody says something I hear it and 1 second later the wav plays again, being very annoying to hear, because that happens with _any_ sound in game, even the intro music (before knowing this issue I though 'what an ugly music has this intro...' umm, was the sound problem :-/ )
I have tried to change all Audio settings in the menu but I do not know what I am doing cause I don't understand german
Does anybody have this problem? Or any clue about _which_ is the setting I should have to change?
I am on a P3 1000, 256 ram , GF2GTS and WinMe. The sound card is a ViaAC97.
And... the game is SOOO DAMN GOOOOD!!!!
Thanks. _________________ Love&Peace |

The only suggestion I could make would be to change G2's audio setting from Miles Audio to DirectSound. If that does not fix your problem then you may need to upgrade your soundcard drivers. |

That's too bad. If you have a look at the gothic.ini file you will find that there are some alternative options (and why, all in english! ). I don't know the capabilities of your soundcard, but maybe it's worth a try. |

I have solved it yet !!! I went to DirectX diag program to check my sound card configuration and I saw an slider about hardward acceleration. It was down to software mode. I moved it all up to hardware acceleration and I got a message that my card does not support that, but I left it that way. Loaded G2Demo again and voila! I finnaly was able to hear the music. And all sound effecs were 'normal'.
