Yeah, what's with this?

If you need help, I can provide ftp fast hosting. Also the guys at FileShack would probably mirror it.

alright i tested the demo out here are my results.

Pentium 3 , 733mhz , 512mb pc 133 ram , Radeon 8500 64MB

I didnt want to spoil anything so i skiped the intro , and i didnt explore alot just 5 mins , the graphics are more crisper and detailed , feels like home again they got the birds churping like in the first one cool music in the background , lots of foresty jungle , i put it on full detail on 1024x786 and both on 130% this thing runs perfectly better then the first game. I put it on 300/300 fine inside but 10fps outside , so ppl with a lower end computer will run this fine just tone down the distance and it will run good , i got 50-75fps with 1024x768 full detail 130/130 so im happy and will play it good.

There is tons of jungle it looks cool but i hope there is some forests like in the first one with the tree's , really wanted to keep playing but i forced myself and uninstalled it after i see how it ran , so now i can just wait , they did a good job.

Oh yeah and they seem to balanced the enemys now punchs can easily kill a wolf now , doesnt take a axe to kill it now they look more agressive and evil too i cant wait Damn you germans

Okay, I downloaded and tested the demo.

My computer: AMD 900Mhz, 256Mb RAM, ATI Radeon 9000PRO 64Mb

I turned down the settings to medium, or lower... turned the view distance to 40%. And it was SLOW! Probably becouse I only have 256Mb RAM, but... the engine must be pretty crappy, i mean... its not THAT good looking.

Anyway, the demo was kinda cool, but not worth to download if your connection isn't fast... i played for like 10-15 minutes... and "finished" it. There is nothing todo in the demo really.

Anyone know if its possible to cheat in the demo, to be able to test some stuff and kill some enemies?

Well, I don't have the demo, but I know that if the demo contains what I think it does ( that is, everything prior to entering Khorinis ), that it has more content than just 10 - 15 minutes.

You can do some quests for the farmer and his men, you can meet another old friend from G1 besides Xardas, you can try the different ways to enter the city, you can explore and admire the countryside and you can kill many enemies. Beware though, you may meet some hungry snappers.

Of course I don't know whether you can cheat in the demo or not. But since Marvin is supposed to have a comeback in G2 ( I didn't test it so far ) it should be easy for you to find it out yourself.

"I turned down the settings to medium, or lower... turned the view distance to 40%. ... its not THAT good looking." LOL
But it IS strange. With that settings and that computer it shouldn't be so slow.

Yes, Marvin is back, but AFAIK only in the full version, not in the demo - but as I don't have the demo, I can't try it

That's definitely the 256 MB RAM - if you wanna play G2, get yourself another 256, ain't too expensive and will drastically improve the performance (not only in G2 by the way)...
