in defense of the cat (here kitty kitty!) |
|
yeaaaaahhhh, riiiiiigggggghhhht...
Cats are dignified, beautiful creatures. Ask the ancient Egyptians. They didnt venerate the muts, they respected the felines. And dogs are almost always butt-ugly, DROOLING, can be aggressive to the point of killing people, and act like little psychos on speed that lick your face and poop on the lawn. No thanks! CATS RULE! DOGS DROOL! hahaha

and show me a dog that can purr... the best thing the dog can do when relaxed, is hump on your leg or piss on the walls, LOL.
btw, if you fix the male cat, he stops his scent-inducing pissing contest and is actually a very loving companion that doesnt smell as bad as a dog because HIS POOP IS MUCH SMALLER. thank you, thank you. |

I asked the ancient egiptions and they said that they prefered dogs, and it was aliens that built all of those cat like objects. If you think about it, it makes perfect sence. Honest _________________ R.I.P "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott

I'm a "dog person," but I kinda like cats too. Prefer 'em when they're kittens, not so keen when they get all grown-up and arrogant
I'm surprised at the poll results, I thought this place was overrun with cat people.
Did the Egyptians have a dog-headed god? |

No the Egiptians started worshiping the trianular headed aliens, and the aliens gave unto them Whips. F*****g massive ones and using these whips they drove moses and his people out of Egypt forever. THE END _________________ R.I.P "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott

Indeed, the Egyptians had a jackal-headed (canine-like) god named Anubis, the God of the Dead, who stood at judgement at the Scales of Justice, where your soul was weighed, to either end in the land of the Gods, or in the jaws and belly of the giant crocodile monster that they called the 'Eater of Souls.' All this is in the Book of the Dead, an ancient Egyptian ceremonial tome. |

Well, it sounds like a crackin' read!
Anubis, that's the fella I was thinking of. Has anyone seen Summer Of Sam? It features an excellent talking dog scene. Or how about the DVD by Chris Morris: "My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117"? Hilarious (if a bit twisted) and also featuring superb talking-dog material.
I read a sci-fi novel by Mick Farren when I was a kid: "The Song Of Phaid The Gambler." Early on in the story, a guy sees a stray dog, looks into its eyes and reads its mind (gets an impression that some dangerous people are coming)... it wasn't a special ability of either the dog or man, just a way in which both species had evolved. The ensuing conversation made it clear that cats could pass on such information too, but the guy didn't like to "read" cats, because they tended to lie. In fact, the blurb on the back cover even mentioned a cat spying for the government.
Maybe Mick Farren overdid the caffeine too. |

that is so intensely awesome.
but as far as dogs vs cats, i have yet to see an ugly dog or a beautiful cat. even those pug guys with their faces all smashed in are so happy all the time that you don't notice how repulsive they are. cats...well there is the occasional cute one, but beautiful???? dignified????? if i started being all dexterous and acting like a pompous jerk, would that make me beautiful and dignified? i think not. and while not all dogs drool profusely, i'd much rather have a little love slobber than mucus covered hair balls. and i'd also much rather have an overaffectionate friend than a friend who doesn't care whether i exist at all. and i guess craps on your lawn vs. craps in your house is a personal aesthetic...
the choice is obvious: gerbils all around! _________________ =Follower of Righteousness=

Actually, if you think about it, having a purring cat in your lap is like having a living vibrator in your lap. Not cool. Sure, I make it sound gross, and purring cats aren't really that bad, but I still prefer dogs. Dogs pwn cats!! _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

Like a lot of people Im allergic to cats.;
So while I can pet a cat in the outdoors, I cant hang out where it lives.
So I dont have so much against cats, I cant hang out with cat people. |
