"Sixteen Candles" question |
|
Rather obscure detail here, but it's been bugging me for years. Near the beginning of the movie (immediately before Farmer Ted is introduced), the bus is shown approaching the stop where Samantha's friend gets off. As it gets closer, the general racket resolves into a little piece of semi-classical music that is played on kazoos. WHAT is the name of that song? _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

That helps, although the track is so obscure I can't find much about it. More specifically, what is the classical piece played during that little snippet? _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Johannes Brahms - Hungarian Dance No. 5.
A better sounding sample in ogg format is here.
The classical composers of old may have given strange and vacuous names to their songs, but the melodies sure were memorable. _________________ “Through the sounds of falling rain, through the clouds of bitter times

My hero!!!
I recognize hundreds of pieces of classical music due to my music training, but I just can't place the names like the old days.
Tip o' the hat to Ozymandius for answering the question I asked (as opposed to the one I was thinking). _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

I'm glad you got the info you were looking for. I couldn't help you further as I haven't seen the movie. _________________ "There is no way around it. Correct is correct. I am correct, therefore I win."
