new morrowind

Hey! I just read about the new morrowind, Oblivion, and Ican wait, but is there any other games that play like morrowind? I started playing rpgs with morrowind and for a while I had a wapred mind that all rpgs where like it. I have all systems except the cube... so dosnt reallly matter the system. I have a few FF a .hack game xeonshypher or somethin like that... i hated kotor and fables gameplay was freakin awsome but was too short.

MY first rpg too was morrowind GOTY ... well beside FF series on snes ans FF7

i just now started gothic 2 and i think it will surpass morrowind
the NPCs have a life of their own they go about working going to the pub after and sleeping... and yu can actually see them all do it .. if i go to the blacksmith is banging the hot sword on the anvil then goes over to the fireheart( sorry dunno if that the name in english) and heats up the weapon ... all dialoge is spoken EVERY SINGLE PHRASE FOR ALL 400 NPCS that amazing the combat system is tricky but once u get the hang of it iits cool and better then morrowind
i had morrowind for xbox and my PC as trouble running the game smooth so for the grfx i cant tell you wich is better
but defenitly go pick it up youll enjoy it
if u have questions PM me
peace out

Try Gothic 1 and 2, it is not 1st person but it is said by almost everyone: it is better than morrowind.
If you want a good but difficult rpg 1st person view: arx fatalis

Yes, try Gothic 2 apart from that, there aren't any more first/third person RPGs.

I have to say that "better" is a very subjective concept, and not easily defined. However, I will say that the Gothics have a huge following, and are very much in the same genre as Morrowind - swords and sourcery, hack and slash, quest-related adventures etc. Well worth a look.

gothic 2's map isnt as big as morrowind tho
as for the lenght of the game well i couldnt say i just startes the game
im 20hours in and i havent even started one of the main guild nor did i explore very far
i saw a thread about the time it took for ppl to finidh it i think go check it out
i remember some guy saying he put 250hours in gothic 1 and 2 together
i also saw a guy say he finished it in 3.4 days but that just plain stupid he rushed it and missed a lot of stuff
My guess is that it will taek me over 100 hours cuz im not a expert gamer and i take my time a lot

List of first person RPGs:
Might and Magic Series (VI is actually bigger than Morrowind, though III-V are the best in series)
Wizardry 8 (I know the others are FP but it's hell trying to get them to run on anything other than Win95)
Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 (Need DosBox to run, but if you can get it to work your in for a great time)
Deus Ex (Not as a big as a game world, but brilliant story and just freakin' fun)
System Shock 2 (See above)
Daggerfall (Even BIGGER than Morrowind and M&MVI but it's all random so expect to see the same terrain over and and over and over and over and over...)
Arena (Needs DosBox, but worth it)
Gothic 2 (Best FP RPG, ever. Period. No, don't even talk.)

I support everyone else. The only game you need to play is Gothic 1 and 2. They have to be the best living worlds in any RPG, period.

I'm gonna buy the morrowind collection just because I'm bored.

Personally, I think that only Bloodmoon is worth it. Tribunal is really unusual. And the last blasted level made my computer run about as fast as a corpse, and that was on the lowest graphics level.

I'm just gonna play cause I'm bored....taking a break from Gothic 2. Plus my comp is really a good one. So my comp could handle it.
