It's not over yet.
However, that fan is a marked man. His days to live are numbered.
But jeez, those Marlins pulling out an 8 run inning! Wow.
Talk about schooling the competition. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

It was INCREDIBLY disheartening. The Cubs had a 3-0 lead going into the top of the eighth, and Dusty Baker (the Cubs' manager) left the Mark Prior (the starting pitcher) in too long. Then Gonzales dropped an easy ground ball, and the Marlins pulled off an 8-run rally. I cried. I'll try not to be TOO depressed if the Cubs lose tonight. The Marlins currently lead in the the top of the sixth inning, 7-5, but it's still anyone's game.
The World Series is on the line, whoever wins tonight goes to it representing the National League.
The Yankees and Red Sox (baseballs most famous rivalry) play their game 7 tomorrow, to decide who will represent the American League.
Update: The Cubs are now down 9-6 in the bottom of the eighth. They have two innings to score at least three runs, unless the Marlins get another one, then they will have to score even more. I'm going to assume that the Cubs will lose, so I won't be too depressed when they actually do. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

A Cubs fan prevented the left field player from catching a foul ball to get an out against the Marlins team (which would have helped the Cubs possibly win the game). Needless to say, other Cubs fans aren't happy. The guy had to be escorted out of the stadium by police while other Cubs fans were pelting him with debris. The curse lives on apparently.
EDIT: Ouch, top of the ninth and it's 9 to 6 with the Marlins in the lead. That Cubs fan is going to have to go into the Witness Protection Program if the Cubs loose. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If they’d gotten the double play, instead of an error, it wouldn’t have mattered. And yes I’m pulling for the Cubs, and watching them right now, even though my favorite player is currently playing for the Marlins. *Pudge Rodriguez. I was a catcher in high school, and I think he is the greatest catcher to ever play the game.* |

Hiya Roach!
If the Cubs don't do something quick they're going to lose. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

If the Cubs can't pull through in the ninth, the Red Sox are my team. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

In this case, you're forgiven for the double-post.
Geez, you have to feel sorry for the Cubs. This must be a heart-breaker of terrible proportions. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

95 years, and the streak goes on. How sad. Though my favorite player in the MLB plays for the Marlins. (Pudge Rodriguez - I was a catcher in high school so I like catchers)
Still as loyal as the Cubs fans are, I was pulling for them. |

Just to get this post back on topic, soccer is for little girls. Americans do drink their own pee. And Jan wasn't allergic to Tiger, she was allergic to the soap they used to wash him.
(I don't use the emoticons so just in case you are not clear if I'm serious or not, I'm not. I think people thought my last post was serious also. I should break down and use the emoticons but I just can't do it.) |
