All that effort beefing up my character (lev43) and i need'nt have bothered...it was so easy and it was a lame ending to boot.
Well, now i'm about to start DAoC (when i can get the game to start..Grrr) which i hope will keep me interested longer than gothic(i got seriously bored by chapter5).

And by the way anybody knows any other rpg that worth playing? I mean longer thatn gothic, cas all i need was a week to get through the whole game. I want a RPG that will take more time( like a month) to beat it. |

Gothic is not clasical RPG, so maybe it is not as long as ussually RPG is, but it is long enough... that is my opinion.
Also chapter 5 and 6 were good, but end was surely a little bit disapointment, maybe better to say that it was begining of Gothic 2 than end of Gothic 1.
To your question about good RPGs currently avalaible.
First - you can search this forums for a lot of informations on that topic.
My personal recommendation is: Wizardy 8.

The latest rpgs do'nt seem to have the same addictiveness as older games. When i first played might and magic VI i was forever replaying the game, but apart from deus-ex (not a proper rpg-but close) there is'nt the same gameplay anymore, only pretty graphics (i'm always hopeful though).

Yeah I played Might and Magic: day of destroyer and I liked it pretty much. That game took me a long time to play and still i didnt explore everything.
Too bad i cant find wizardy 8 anywhere in my town. I've searched all the stores for it, but its just not there. I've heard its a good game. |

My first was D&D, pen and paper. I wasn't interested in what computers had to offer until Wolfenstein 3D, so I think my first CRPG was... Lands of Lore, I guess... nice and easy for beginners.
