Rawis... The npc's in BG 1+2 also talk,
act and do stuff on their own. They also don't do stupid things in the middle of a battle like I found the npc's in Arcanum doing. I was pulling my hair out sometimes
because I would get so mad at my party in Arcanum because they would often make poor decisions. |

ive played most all of the mentioned games and i would definatly go with the baldurs gate series. in no other game did i have such control over my characters and no other game did each individual action have such a great affect on the outcome of the event at hand. not to mention that the story lines were superb and the sence of adventure was enveloping. One game i did not see mentioned was summoner not the best in my opinion but the story and sripting for the characters i found to be superb as well. anxiously awaiting divinty. |

For my money, the best CRPG to date has been Ultima 5. Maybe I just played it at the right point in my life, I don't know, but that game sucked me in more deeply than any I've played since. The story was excellent, the atmosphere outstanding, and the amount you could do added even more depth. I really dug the turn based combat (last Ultima to really have that combat system). Ultima 7 series is also up there along with the Wasteland/Fallout games, but Ultima 5 tops the list for me. |

Gothic, Wizardry 8, and Summoner are my favorites.
Gothic--excellent graphic
Wizardry 8--excellent gameplay
Summoner--excellent adventure
Sorry for having used the word excellent three times... |

Judging by the ammount of time I spent on it and the number of times I've gone back to play it again it must be Wizardry7.
I hope Morrowind does top it,if I can get it to play that is and will be able to begin finding out on Wednesday.Daggerfall may well have been my number one as it is far and away the most ambitious CRPG yet produced but even when the bugs were patched the seemingly interminable and repetative "quest" dungeons finally got to much for me and I was glad to finish it. hopefully these will be absent from Morrowind. |

after thinking about it alot i go for BG series. Gothic is good yes, Ultima (5 and 7, but also 9) are very good. But BG has alot more options then anyother game. BG all the way |

I'd have to say Realms of Arkania:Blade of Destiny, course there may be another reason I've been playing it on/off since 1993 hehe but I can't think of any _________________ Starshyne
