I guess this thing is a big deal. Everywhere I look it's PSP this, PSP that! It looks pretty cool for a glorified Gameboy, and from what I read it also plays movies, you can do the memory stick thing out of a digital camera, and so on and so forth.
Besides all the other stuff it does, it's still a glorified, souped up Gameboy in my opinion. I dont consider myself too old to play games, but I do feel a bit old to be bleeping away on a Gameboy, Id be embarassed as heck if a woman saw me messing with one of these things. Maybe it's just me
Safe to say I wont be picking one up anytime soon @ 250.oo bucks (and you know that's just the beginning), not even to play in my apartment, with the lights off and the shades drawn. It doesnt look like there are any good RPGs for it yet anyway ='.'=

PSP is surely not for me.
Newest consoles really make me wonder if I should by one or not, but PSP is not the case. |

No PSP for me either, mainly for these reasons :
1 - It is not out in Europe, yet, and won't be for some time
2 - No RPGs yet
3 - No potential.
On the other hand, I must mention that I am considering getting a Nintendo DS, since the thing has potential (and even fewer titles available yet) - strategy titles, and more particularly turn based strategies would be fun to play on it, and I am eyeing the next N-Gage console-cum-phone, since the recently rumoured specs are even better that that of the PSP. |

No PSP or DS for me guys and girls. I am only 20 years old but never really liked playing on something small. I will always be playing PC and some console.
But PC is my future (I am learing IT ) _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

Just look at the launch titles, almost all sports games. Why would I play football on a 2 inch screen when I can play an rpg on a 19 inch?
I ain´t gonna pay so much money for so much nothing, I can use both my time and my money better. _________________ If you can't debate without namecalling then don't bother visiting us. -Myrthos |

Votes are bit different that I anticipated. But lack of RPG's is probably biggest factor here. And why would someone want to play on tiny screen when you can play on PC with nice big screen [at least bigger then on PSP ]
I thought that at least someone would PSP with glee. _________________

I suppose mainly because it is portable. So if someone needs something portable to play while running around with his/her dog or while traveling to school/work, PSP is for him/her.
I believe that titles are and should be chosen according to this portability. I can not really play complex RPG or FPS while travelling (but I doubt I can play football :]). |
